What is a Tree Surgeon and What Do We Do?
Our team of tree surgeons are professionals who provide various services related to tree care and maintenance, such as removal, trimming, and pruning. We have experience working on both residential and commercial properties and also provide expert, tailored advice about tree care or assist with planting new trees.
The services that we offer can be divided into three main categories:
- Tree removal: This is the most common service that tree surgeons provide. If you have a tree on your property that needs to be removed, a tree surgeon can do it safely and efficiently.
- Tree trimming: This service is typically requested when trees are starting to encroach on power lines or buildings. By trimming back, tree surgeons can help prevent damage to property and keep everyone safe.
- Tree pruning: This service is often requested for aesthetic reasons. Pruning can help improve the appearance of trees and make them healthier.

“Dear Broadleaf Tree Surgery, I am the neighbour where you removed the diseased sycamore last Saturday. I was very impressed with your professionalism, speed and efficiency in getting rid of the whole tree and its stump in just a few hours. The whole team worked so well together and in such awful rainy conditions. Your clearing up after yourselves was exemplary as well……it is fantastic to see such teamwork. Thanks again.”
Tree Removal & Stump Grinding – David
Medway
“ I thoroughly recommend Broadleaf Tree Surgery. On the day, Aaron and his colleague did a great job, cleaned up all the mess and made quick work of what is a very large oak tree. He made sure he clarified what we wanted on a couple of decisions which was important given the amount of other people’s land the tree goes over. They were very professional yet easy going.”

“ Absolutely over the moon with what Aaron and the team have done for us. The garden feels so much bigger now that the trees have been removed. We would highly recommend Broadleaf Tree Surgery.”

Ms Hutton. Tree cutting

“I have a large Willow tree in the rear garden. We love the tree and see it as an asset to our property, because of this we were very careful about who we chose to use when we decided we wanted to reduce the crown. We went with Broadleaf Tree surgery over 3 other local companies. Aaron was punctual, polite and knowledgeable when he came to quote the job, and on the day he and the team worked hard and left our garden in an immaculate state, better than it was before they started! We will certainly be using the company again"
Mr and Mrs Pope. Tree pruning

“Broadleaf tree Surgery gave 100% professional service when I contacted them regarding my Mulberry tree. From on-site consultation, where a fair price was given & formalised in a written quotation. An appointment was booked and the work carried out as agreed. My tree now looks well balanced, lower limbs that were blocking my view over the downs were removed. My log cabin and decking where the tree is situated were completely unscathed by this work due to their care and attention. The site was left clean and tidy and the work completed at the price quoted and agreed. I would highly recommend Aarons company to anyone seeking a professional tree surgeon.”

What To Expect From Your Tree Surgery Appointment
Once you’ve booked your tree surgery appointment, there are a few things you need to do to prepare for our visit . First, make sure that the area around the tree or desired target area is clear. This will help our tree surgeons do their job more efficiently and prevent any accidents.
Once the work is done, we will clean up the area and remove any debris which is then put through a wood chipper and used on a local farm as fertiliser to ensure our process is as sustainable as possible.
If you’re happy with the results of the tree surgery, we recommend getting in touch with us to discuss a maintenance plan. This will help ensure that your trees stay healthy and look their best.
Emergency 24HR Tree Surgery Call Out Service
In addition to day-to-day tree surgery in Kent, we offer a 24-hour call-out service for emergency tree services in the local area. If you’re after a quick planning application for a tree preservation order to be removed, or perhaps a fallen tree is blocking your driveway, get in touch with our team. All of our customers will be able to rest easy knowing that we hold a 5 million pound public liability.

How Much Do Tree Surgeons Charge?
The team can vary in size from between two to six workers on-site depending on the task and size of the job. These costs are determined by the equipment required, the job complexity, and also the staff who are onsite to get the job done safely and efficiently. To provide fair and accurate quotes, our team of tree surgeons will carry out a site visit to fully understand the scope of the project before providing you with a no-obligation quote.
The four main factors we will consider are:
- The size of the tree.
- The work site and what obstructions are near it.
- The amount of distance that the arisings need to be transported from the tree to the chipper and trucks.
- The health of the tree i.e is it safe to climb and would we need a MEWP in to work it.
Sustainable Tree Surgeons
The modern world is becoming increasingly damaging to our natural environment. Increased pollution levels and widespread building development is having a real and lasting effect on it. Our team of tree surgeons realise that protecting our environment is becoming more important each day and that as a company we need to take measures to minimise our carbon footprint.
We now use 100% biodegradable chain oil and low-emission aspen fuels all of the time for every job we do! For travelling and all site visits, we use a low-emission vehicle. All of the waste we produce goes through a wood chipper, which is then used on a local farm as fertiliser.
