We were really pleased with this company. They provided a quote beforehand and did exactly what they said they would do to our silver birches, bay tree and beech tree. Jamie and Jenson were polite, helpful, knowledgeable and tidied the area before leaving. We will definitely use again. Thank you

Great communications and service from the team, from booking through estimating to turning up on time to do the work. Certificates for waste removal and H&S provided without having to ask: totally professional outfit! Really excellent guys reviewed the quotation when they arrived to be sure of the work required and did the most efficient and knowledgeable job leaving nothing to clear away”. Really pleased with the results and will be using Broadleaf again in the Spring. Written on behalf of Graham Olley, customer.

This was the second time I have used Broadleaf Tree Surgery to deal with a mixed variety of overgrown trees and a hedge. Each time the service, starting with the initial helpful assessment of the work required, was carried out professionally, efficiently and with care. All the team were friendly and polite and I will happily use their services again in future.

After calling for estimate this arrived promptly. The three staff who turned up heavily pruned our 30 ft yew tree which is now around 10 ft and manageable. All branches and foliage were removed efficiently. Would recommend the company on their professionalism.

Required 2 x large ash trees and 2 x conifer trees cutting back due to being over grown, blocking the light and getting close to the corner of the house. Really pleased with the quality of work done and the team liaised with me throughout and cut back the trees to meet our requirements whilst maintaining their shape and appearance so they didn’t look odd. Left my garden nice a tidy and collected any stray branches from neighbouring properties leaving them tidy too. Overall really pleased and would definitely recommend this company for your tree needs.

The team provided a great service - tree removal, de-ivying, removing dead wood, pruning, and much more. They were incredibly professional and very friendly. I live in a conservation zone and they managed the whole process liaising with planning departments and officials. Despite terrible weather they did everything they said they would and more, and stuck to the budget. Their work was so good I even had long established neighbours asking for their details. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would use them again without any reservation.

Aaron was very responsive when I contacted him. He arranged for the trees to be trimmed but due to the snow couldn’t attend. He rearranged quickly within a week and the two men who came were brilliant. They were done in a few hours, were polite and checked we were happy with the work. They tied and left little to no mess. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend.

Emergency 24HR Tree Surgeon Call Out Service

In addition to day-to-day tree surgery in Kent, we offer a 24-hour call-out service for emergency tree services in the local area. If you’re after a quick planning application for a tree preservation order to be removed, or perhaps a fallen tree is blocking your driveway, get in touch with our team. All of our customers will be able to rest easy knowing that we hold a 5 million pound public liability.

Our Locations Across Kent

Our primary locations include Maidstone, Medway, Gravesend, and Sittingbourne, but our tree surgeons also operate in towns and villages across the whole of Kent. Click the button below to discover our other service locations.

Sustainable, Local Tree Surgeons

The modern world is becoming increasingly damaging to our natural environment. Increased pollution levels and widespread building development are having a real and lasting effect on it. Our team of tree surgeons realise that protecting our environment is becoming more important each day and that as a company, we need to take measures to minimise our carbon footprint.

Our tree surgeons now use 100% biodegradable chain oil and low-emission aspen fuels on every job! For travelling and all site visits, we use a low-emission vehicle, and all of the waste we produce goes through a wood chipper, which is then used on a local farm as fertiliser.

    Tree Surgeon FAQs

Our team of tree surgeons are professionals who provide various services related to tree care and maintenance, such as tree removal, hedge trimming, and pruning. We have experience working on both residential and commercial properties and also provide expert, tailored advice about tree care or assist with planting new trees.

Broadleaf Tree Surgery’s services can be divided into three main categories:

    • Tree removal: This is the most common service that tree surgeons provide. If you have a tree on your property that needs to be removed, a tree surgeon can do it safely and efficiently, including the removal of the tree stump, if required
    • Tree & hedge trimming: This service is typically requested when trees are starting to encroach on power lines or buildings. By trimming back, tree surgeons can help prevent damage to property and keep everyone safe
    • Tree pruning: This service is often requested for aesthetic reasons. Pruning can help improve the appearance of trees and make them healthier

Once you’ve booked your tree surgery appointment, there are a few things you need to do to prepare for our visit. First, make sure that the area around the tree or desired target area is clear. This will help our tree surgeons do their job more efficiently and prevent any accidents.

Once the work is done, we remove any debris, which is then put through a wood chipper and used on a local farm as fertiliser to ensure our process is as sustainable as possible.

If you’re happy with the results of the tree surgery, we recommend getting in touch with us to discuss a maintenance plan. This will help ensure that your trees stay healthy and look their best.

The team can vary in size from two to six workers on-site, depending on the task and size of the job. These costs are determined by the equipment required, the job complexity, and also the staff who are on-site to get the job done safely and efficiently. To provide fair and accurate quotes, our team of tree surgeons will carry out a site visit to fully understand the scope of the project before providing you with a no-obligation quote.

The four main factors we will consider are:

    • The size of the tree
    • Work site and nearby obstructions
    • Distance from tree to chipper and trucks — for transporting arisings
    • The health of the tree — is it safe to climb and would we need a MEWP to work it?
